Staunton Ranch Portsmouth – A Rare Breeds Ranch, Big Ornamental Glass Home and 1,000 Acres of Country Park

The Food

The Events
After Archibald and Rachael Staunton passed away in the very early 1900s their child Frances gifted their land to the state, with the hope that it would become a park. Whether you are trying to find a leisurely stroll around the walled gardens or an adrenalin pumping walking on the hilly tracks, there is something below to match all tastes and capabilities. For an extra tough walk why not attempt the orienteering course– excellent for kids and grownups alike to see who can complete all 24 stations before your buddies.

The park has a coffee shop on website offering hot meals, sandwiches and a variety of snacks. They also offer an excellent choice of Fair Trade teas (Sir George was known for his love of tea!). In the winter months you can experience the Enlightened path, which is readied to be larger and brighter than ever before this year.

The Facilities
Staunton Ranch State Park is Colorado’s most recent State Park and opened up in 2013 offering 18 miles of treking tracks and a selection of various other leisure activities. The park rests southern of Black Hill in an area of pine woodlands, aspen groves, open meadows and granite cliffs. The website was as soon as a 1,720-acre cattle ranch possessed by Drs.
